Yoga, Ayurveda and the Power of Nature with Melina Meza and Baxter Bell, MD
August 10-17, 2019
Feathered Pipe Ranch – Helena, Montana
The famous 20th century spiritual teacher J Krishnamurti once said to his students “You’d all be much better off to be out in nature somewhere.”
This summer, we’ll be taking the master’s advice, learning and practicing the techniques of yoga for healthy aging and Ayurveda for deep healing with Baxter Bell and Melina Meza in one of the most beautiful places on earth, the Feathered Pipe Ranch. Along the way, we’ll be storing up wisdom to support three pillars of a happy and fulfilling life: a sustainable yoga practice, a wholesome diet, and a healthy lifestyle.
Attuning to the Seasons with Ayurveda & Yin – Melina Meza
September 8-12, 2019
Breitenbush Hot Springs, Oregon
As we are interconnected with Mother Nature, we can more powerfully keep in tune with ourselves by attuning to her seasonal rhythms. In this unique four-day program, we’ll explore numerous ways to sequence our wellness practice with the seasons, including a dedicated focus upon Yin Yoga and Ayurveda.
Through muscle relaxation and release of tension, breath awareness and visualizations, Yin Yoga not only inspires the circulation of life force energy (prana) throughout the body but also instills an attitude that allows you to more fully prepare for meditation and life’s stressors. Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science and one of the world’s oldest systems of healing, provides us with a rich repository of distilled wisdom that inspires our journey towards optimal well-being.
In addition to our Yin Yoga practice and Ayurvedic studies, this holistic program also includes forest bathing, river meditations, hiking, and soaking under the stars to reconnect to your true nature. You’ll emerge from this retreat with self-knowledge and practical wisdom that will deepen your practice both on and off the mat.

We will spend our last two nights in Tokyo.
All along the way we will have guided tours with plenty of free time for exploring on our own. Most of our hotels have onsens, the lovely Japanese baths for men and for women. This is a releasing and luxurious way to end a day, in the natural hot springs, in the quiet. We’ll have the chance to experience Srinrin Yoku, the ancient practice of quieting and deepening into meditation, in the forest of Nara. The Art of the Japanese Tea Ceremony will be taught by a local tea house. All along the way, Leaf Peeping. The autumn colors are outrageous in hues of red, orange and yellow. Tokyo is a world to itself. We’ll have a short guided temple tour and the rest of our time is our own.
